Excitement Builds as Calder Makes Final Prep for Slots

Calder Casino, a new 104,000-square foot 1,200 slot gaming facility, is set to open the end of January 2010.

The live racing ends on January 2nd at Calder Casino & Racecourse, but that does not mean that the fun has stopped. The facility will now switch over to simulcast racing, and will soon be offering customers a taste of Las Vegas with their new slots casino.

The simulcasting will take place seven days a week and will feature some of the top tracks in the US. Oakland Park, Santa Anita, Gulfstream Park, Aqueduct, and Tampa Bay Downs are just some of the many tracks that Calder will be simulcasting. Daily simulcasting begins at Calder at 12:25 PM.

In addition to the racing, visitors can now enjoy Calder’s Studz Poker Club. The poker room, located on the first floor of the track, is open from 9AM to 3AM daily, and stays open around the clock on weekends. There are twenty-nine tables and several promotions running daily. The most famous of the promotions is “Racing For Quads,” a horse-racing themed promotion.

The track is also in the final preparation stages for their new Calder Casino, which will open later this month. The casino will feature over 1,200 new slot machines, bringing a taste of Las Vegas to the famous racetrack in South Florida. Slot tournaments, giveaways, and other promotions will mark the opening of the new casino.

Calder Casino And Race Course is located on the Miami-Dade/Broward County line in South Florida. The facility is just north of Land Shark Stadium, home to the Florida Marlins and Miami Dolphins. Admission and parking is always free, however, valet parking is available for those who prefer the service.
