Florida Gaming News
Florida is quickly growing into one of the biggest gaming states in the nation. First it was Broward county that approved Vegas style slots, then the Seminole Indian Tribe claimed their share. This brought slots to two of the most highly populated areas in Florida; Hollywood and Tampa.
This all came after the poker boom in the nation, which helped once downward spiraling jai-alais and racetracks back into the industry. As the state began to realize the amount of jobs expanded gaming brought to local areas of Florida, people became more comfortable with gaming's proliferation.
Then the Seminoles fought for more Vegas style games like blackjack and baccarat, and they got them. Then Miami/Dade county approved Vegas style slots. The industry that was once thought to bring crime and degradation to an area, has proven to bring just the opposite.
And that is where we stand now. The Florida industry set to explode, and us, here to report on the explosion.
Below you will find all the latest news from Casino Pulse. Our writers stay up to date with all that is going on with the Florida gaming industry, and they publish their findings here.
